Registered User | Last year they were testing the prototype near here when I ran into them. Luckily I knew one of the people running the test or they would have never let me near the vehicle. I happened to be driving a Dodge Power Wagon at the time....the Ford is much better. |

In a contest wth some other stanch competitors this rig kicked butt. Locked rear end. Low gearing, and tough. Out of ten, the Range Rover won it but the PW was 3rd. Jeep Rubicon was not involved. __________________ Uncle Willy, The InnKeeper #3 06 Rubicon locked and loaded.... | |

Problems I have seen include death wobble on some and poor performance in soft sand. They are still a very nice rig, but I like the Ford better. |

Wahoo Wheeler Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Arkansas/Virginia Posts: 2,577 | Go with the Ram Power Wagon. We have one and it does some amazing stuff. The Power Wagon has beefed up axles over a std Ram 2500, macho skids, Warn 12k winch, fr/rr lockers, electronic sway bar disconnect, BFG AT 33s, 4.56 gears, Bilstein shocks, and about 2 inches more lift over a std Ram 2500. The Power Wagon is essentially a Ram 2500 with an off road package on roids. Much more capable off road than that Ford Raptor. Looks like the Ford also has IFS __________________ White 01 TJ Sport 4.0 NV3550 NP231 4.5" RESA, 1" bl, 1" mml, D30 Aussie D44 Eaton Elocker, 4.88s, 35x12.50x15 GoodYear MTR Kevlar, Currie Steering, dual Riddlers, Rokmen steering skid, Rokmen gas tank skid, 1.25" Spidertrax spacers, LoD front bumper/hoop, BESRK rear bumper/carrier, TxT winch plate, OMEs, AA sye, Coast cv, A to Z rockers, Medic engine skid, RockHard Cage, Flowmaster 40, Optima Red, Warn 9.5 XP |

It will offer some awesome features, such as 6.2L V8 with 400hp/torque, suspension travel of 11.2/13.4 inches F/R, wider track of roughly 7 inches, Fox Racing shocks (only internal bypass shocks offered on a street truck), 315/70R17 BFG A/T TA tires (35 inchers), rear locker good for up to 62mph in high range, stock aux. switch board, and of course heavier duty suspension components, performance exhaust, and necessary skidplates. Here's a test done in Peterson's 4 Wheel and Off Road mag: http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/featuredvehicles/131_0904_2010_ford_f150_raptor_svt/index.html |
