It's the original one....had it rebuilt 2x...after it sat for 15 years....the first company charged me $200 and cleaned it off with cleaner and gave it back...didn't do crap. Second time took it to an old timer carb shop...it was rebuilt there but I just think it's done

HI,
Not knowing your knowledge.
Did you try adjusting the Air/Fuel mixture screw.. that needs to be adjusted per what the pacific motor needs.. A Miss adjusted mixture screw can cause the motor to miss , run ruff, run rich at idle, not wanting to idle. this setting is usually like 1 1/2 turns OUT form LIGHTLY seated. The mixtue screw is in the base of the carb and has a spring around it.. as well as the choke if electric or heat operated needs adjusting as well.. As well as the idle screw'S one is for fast idle when the motor is cold and the other is curb idle for when the motor is warmed up.. Have you tried adjusting these??

Age of a carburetor is not always the measure of when to replace it, its more the soundness of it, and how it has survived the amount of use it has on it.
I have an MC2100 2 bbl carb, it was manufactured in September 1966. Original use was on a Ford Falcon or similar car, has been passed through several owners in its lifetime, no doubt rebuilt who knows how many times. It runs my '81 CJ5 w/258 but feels like the truck has a V8 in it instead of the I6, and the carb performs flawlessly from idle to WOT.
Suggest to check all other systems in/around the engine bay, then if it is found the carb is the issue, you go through it yourself. These are very easy carbs to work with, and a ton of info here to help you work through rebuilding it............IF needed.
