We thought it was weird when we purchased ours this week that it didn't light Up! I hope you find an answer because I would love to know too!

 

Go on ebay. Look for E74 bulb. It's super tiny. I just had to replace the bulb in mine. I paid 99 cents. And $3 for shipping

Update. We successfully changed the bulb and opted for the 2721 Sylvania bulb from the local Auto zone. Hope this helps you.

 

Thanks.... Just replaced mine with the Sylvannia 2721 from Autozone as well... $4.99 for 2 bulbs. The assembly is $103 online. Took me 15 min with only a stiff putty knife.

 

Looks like Sylvania 2721 at auto parts stores. Based on price with shipping online, a better deal, and you can compare. Everything comes apart in like 3 minutes Bulb holder comes out, bulb pulls out. The original bulb is a EWG103, or T-1 1/2. While mine was clearly plug in and out, I did read Jeep wants to sell you the whole unit. Even at that I would think if your handy with a soldering iron, you'd save cash
