New to the Jeep Forum. Look forward to reading what everyone is doing.
I am in the process of cleaning up a 1989 Wrangler YJ. I purchased new seats and thought I could use the same seat belts but was wrong. The new Bestop adjustable seats now hit the bottom seat belt collector behind the seat. Plus the fact it no longer fits around me....

Have taken it off to see if I could adjust it in any way but its pretty much fixed where its at. I see these metal seat belt extenders and curious where these go or what is the best way to replace or extend existing seat belts.
I want to get a center console so I have to keep that in mind as far as the center belt clip units screwed to the floor.

Any suggestions on best way to get readjust the seat belt so it fits with adjustable seats and fit around my large body?

Appreciate any input including humor on my size....

Welcome jjbrad1.

I'm no expert but I've seen at least two bestop seat installs. Neither fit well IMHO. Seats seem fine but each had both seatbelt and other clearance issues. There not really stock replacements- they are aftermarket seats that fit. Sorta.

Anyway, the seatbelt receiver piece that bolts to floor: the ones from a 1993, 94, 95 are longer by like four or five inches. That might not seem like much but from what I've seen that might get you what you need without spending much.

I got Best top seats they're awesome I think they're the trail max 2 they were 200 bucks each well worth it. My seat belts were quite expensive at 150 each side I think it was, here's a picture of a set like mine except the little brass colored extenders at the top of the picture on my set were like 6 inches long. I got them from a local jeep shop not sure the brand. With the brass colored extenders it puts the female seat belt latch up by your waist not down at the floor.
