SSBC rear disc conversion

I put SSBC rear disc conversion on my 99 Wrangler, Dana 44 axle. I am still having a low, soft pedal after multiple brake bleeds. SSBC tech says, "air in the lines." But I am not getting any when I bleed.

I was wondering about the master cylinder. Would a 4 wheel disc brake master cylinder from a Dodge Durango work as a direct bolt on?

I have already replaced my Jeep steering box with a Durango one. Worked perfectly. A direct bolt on.

You have air in the lines and no master will fix that. Post up some pictures of your rear calipers so we can verify that the bleeders are on top.

Also, tell me how you've been doing the bleeding.

I have the cast aluminum, single piston (screw in) calipers, which have two bleed screws. I bleed through the top screw, (one that goes through the banjo bolt). Using an assistant, I start with the RR then LR, RF and LF.

I know what you have. I want to know the exact process you used for bleeding and I need to see a picture of the calipers to see if they changed the mount yet to get the bleed screw on top where it belongs.

For the record, I've messed with at least 4 of those conversions and I've yet to be able to bleed them correctly or see anyone else bleed them correctly through those banjo bolt bleeders because they are NOT the high point of the caliper bore.

To get a correct bleed, I've always had to remove them, block them open with something the same thickness as the rotor and then tilt them so the bleeder was the high point and go from there.

Oh, I see. I will post some pics later today. Not in the shop now, bedtime.
Have you had any experience with the Phoenix Systems, V-12 Brake Bleeder kit? I have been thinking about purchasing this kit.
Thanks for your input.

I am not sure that SSBC even has these calipers anymore.

Yep, pull them, block them open and then angle the caliper so the bleeder is at the very top and then do your bleeding.

Make sure you understand how to adjust the caliper piston by turning it the right way to get the parking brake function to work.
